Prophecy

Prophecy Defined: Prophecy is a spirit-prompted intelligible word spoken to strengthen, encourage, and comfort believers, and to convict of sin, disclose the secrets of the heart, and reveal the presence of God among the church to unbelievers.

Prophecy is not a competitor with scripture, but is a compliment to scripture.

Prophecy is not always synonymous with preaching, although spontaneous revelation is often a part of preaching.

Prophecy is not always true prophecy, but true prophecy is always Christ-centered.
